| South Shore | Lahaina & Kn'anapali | Hanakao'o Beach to Kahehili | Kipahula to Kaupo |
| North Shore & Road to Hana | Northwest Coast Adventures | Molokai | Lanai |
Don’t bother looking for a beach in Lahaina itself that will make the kids happy, even though there are several beaches, some decent surfing spots and good snorkeling at Mala Wharf. Take the kids directly to snorkeling at Black Rock at the north end of Ka’anapali Beach or near Hanakao’o Beach bordering on the south end of Ka’anapali. Depending on the age of your children, snorkeling around Black Rock may keep them busy all day. Otherwise, drive a little further than Black Rock to the parking lot for Kahekili Beach Park, another good picnic location, which has showers, restrooms, picnic tables, BBQ grills and shade trees. The kids will really enjoy the sandy bottom and lovely water for swimming and snorkeling, especially in the early morning.
Places to Eat
If you stay in Ka’anapali for the day, you’ll find lots of tasty meal choices for kids:
Nothing matches Kahekili Beach for younger kids until you get to Napili Bay and, even better for protected swimming, Kapalua Beach. Both of these beaches will appeal tremendously to kids of all ages. Pick up a picnic lunch at the Honolua Store or Honokowai Okazuyi Deli since kid-friendly restaurants are scarce north of Napili Plaza that includes the full-serve Napili Market with a deli counter. The whole family will enjoy breakfasts and lunches at these restaurants and eateries north of Ka’anapali:
