Perfect Day #6 — La Pérouse Bay & Kanaio Coast

Take Hwy. 31 to Wailea, continue on Wailea Alanui to Makena Alanui and South Makena Rd. to the end at La Pérouse Monument. Park in the gravel lot or along the road and take the trail along the turquoise water’s edge for about a mile to Beau Chien Beach and a picnic in a gorgeous setting. The contrasts of white coral and lava, green kiawe trees and beautiful blue water in the cove make this spot visually appealing and memorable.
