Kanaha Beach Park

Drive to and around the Airport in Kahului to Ka’a St., turn right on this road past rental car return lots (on your left), to the end at Alahao St. Turn right to the entrance for Kanaha Beach Park on your left and park. Walk down Kanaha Beach to your left (toward Kahului), the stretch of strand favored by kiteboarders and windsurfers.

Waihe’e Beach

Found with some difficulty off Hwy. 340 north of Wailuku (Halewaiu Rd. down to the shoreline access), long Waihe’e Beach Park is fringed by trees and offers a peaceful, scenic walk and picnic place. Walk northwards (left) towards Waihe’e Point and views of the cliffs and bluffs along the undeveloped coast, and also south (right) to Waiehu Beach. Have breakfast in nearby Wailuku and pick up a picnic lunch in town before heading to Waihe’e.
